I'm an accountant with two difficult cats living in SoCal with an unhealthy love for the MCU and also T Kingfisher. Canon: The Twisted Ones Age: 86 Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: Yes. His body is basically made of bones and stones held together by twine, wire, and deer hide... he IS a cursed item. Entity Affiliation(s): The Flesh Permissions: HERE Information: Frederick Cotgrave is a giant spoiler for the horror book The Twisted Ones. He is also a walking skeleton with hagstones in and hanging from his ribcage, wrapped in a deer hide, with his skull on upside down, because the servants of the people in the otherworld finally found him after he died and rebuilt him in their image. The fact that he is quite gentle doesn't really change the fact that he's also terrifying. Plotting: Freddie needs to have some fun enjoying the illusion of being human again for a while :D And then he needs to get weird. I fully expect him to start putting together other mini effigies like himself, just for fun. As a hobby. It's just art, right? Until the start walking around, anyway. I also plan for him to start working in the ADI library, so we still have scenes with him as a giant horror monster. Visuals: Just a FYI if you don't want me to use his skull icons with you, just let me know!

He's really interesting. He's not the POV character except for the main character finding his writings, so there's a lot you have to infer. I'm excited to see what he's like long-term :3

It's a stand-alone horror novel by T Kingfisher (AKA Ursula Vernon) based kind of loosely on The White Ones by... I forget who, somebody who wrote horror back in the 1910s. I recommend anything by T Kingfisher honestly.

I can't wait for him to meet Fred with his illusion-skin on :D he's actually somewhere between really impressed and a little weirded out by how well Steve is handling the whole... dead skeleton monstrocity thing.

Frederick is just harvesting so much lovely Flesh feeding power. Too bad literally the only things he can do with power are exist, and make other horrifying effigies like himself.... >.>

Ooh, I'll have to check it out. And I don't think I've read that story but it looks like it's by Arthur Machen who I've liked other stuff by, so I'll probably read it at a point.
