Timeline

➥ Breaking It In: 21 July
➥ Move the Goalposts: 23-24 July
➥ Curveball: 23-24 July
➥ Below the Belt: 24 July (night)
➥ Sticky Wicket: 21 July - 5 August

➥ Breaking It In
cw: mentions of apparent mutilation of/violence against animals and animal death

Characters are given a briefing by Reyes Amador that the kelpie encountered in the TDM prompt has likely come from Essex Bay. They know this due to triangulating disappearances and apparent marine mammal deaths. Reyes invites people to ask them questions about this mission and about ADI. Bonnie is also present to give her opinions.

➥ Move the Goalposts
cw: kidnapping, violence, sadism

Kelpies appear and attempt to kidnap characters from Gloucester. The only safe haven from the creatures if you can't fight them is ADI HQ and ADI Housing.

➥ Curveball
cw: kidnapping, violence/violence and mutilation against apparent animals, sadism, body horror, transformation, potential for claustrophobia

Kidnapped characters awaken to find the kelpies tormenting what seems to be a seal. It is not a seal, though. The kelpies cut the animal open to reveal it's a woman who's been trapped inside the sealskin. Kidnapped characters find themselves subject to the same fate. They are wrapped in sealskin and become psychically-linked selkies, hunted by the kelpies through the dark waters of Essex Bay.

➥ Below the Belt
cw: violence/violence and mutilation against apparent animals, body horror, gore

Characters on the Essex Bay mission arrive to find clever seals in the water being chased by horrible crocodile horse monsters. The kelpies attempt to hunt, capture, and kill the selkies and their would-be rescuers.

➥ Sticky Wicket
cw: potential for severe burns/injury, pain

Characters are tasked with fetching artifacts from a rundown portion of the Docks. The artifacts, if touched, induce 3rd-degree burns and a burning sensation across one's entire body. Additionally, characters may find themselves having to deal with some of the young punks around town who have claimed this part of the Docks for themselves and want what's in that box.

A Handy Plotting Form

Breaking It In - Fantastic! A team meeting. Those are a grand ol’ time. Shiro will, ofc, be in attendance. He wasn’t thrown into the TDM, so ig he has no experience w these kelpies. He’ll be interested in asking questions and gleaning details from NPCs, as well as characters who have had encounters.
Move the Goalposts - Up for Shiro helping/rescuing someone. He’s an extremely skilled fighter ( spent a year surviving death matches, w him opposite various aliens ) and has a magic tech arm, so I’m fairly confident he can hold his own against the kelpies. So no, he will not be kidnapped.
… Though using his weaponized arm will be pinging the negative side-effects of his curse. Basically, he feels disconnected from his arm, and it brings him discomfort that comes an’ goes. So uh… that could throw a slight wrench into the rescue attempts, actually.
Curveball - Opt out. No kidnapping here!
Below the Belt - Shiro would assist. Dunno how helpful he’ll be putting two and two together that the seals are the missing teammates, but...
Sticky Wicket - Shiro would likely not open the box. Even though he’s still in the process of building trust toward ADI, he also doesn’t actively distrust them either. There’s a reason they’ve been given those instructions and he’s not one to jeopardize a mission or a task just to settle some wayward curiosity.
… If someone else opens it though! And it reveals a plain, regular looking sports item, he’ll be less of the goodie rule follower and possibly pick it up. Because what the hell? This is what ADI is making a big deal over?

Consider: Caduceus drops the box and out rolls a baseball or shin guard or something.

He's also definitely going on rescue missions. He's lost track of the two (2) people he kind of knows.

HELLO PINK FRIEND WHO IS NOT PURPLE my eyes are broken forgive me

Or something. Hopefully not a jockstrap :////

Does Caduceus require assistance in looking for these two peoples? Shiro is excellent at search and rescue ( also p good at losing people and/or getting lost himself too, but details )

okay but if it was a jockstrap, Cad would stare at it and not get what it's for... for way too long.

He will happily take assistance. He's not totally sure how his magic will work here, and any help from someone that doesn't have to rely too much on magic would be welcome.

Edit: I finally got a TL up here! Also happy to write something more specific for Shiro, let me know if you'd prefer that!

caduceus could maybe rescue aelwyn from a kelpie chasing her? or rather, rescue aelwyn from attempting to fully feed this creature to the desolation? or he could just witness it! up to you
