1. Winter is willing to go but only if a) his people at home are guaranteed to be safe and/or b) they're coming with him. This is his job, but he's also very attached to folks.
2. He's a straight-up fighter/assassin type. Give him a sniper nest and a target or ten and he will headshot every one, and that's without the serum, because he was just Like That back in WW2. He will be trying not to feed the Stranger, but he will not be trying very hard, because, well, mission. And his usual mission mode and skills tend to feed into that not-seeming-quite-human thing. There's also the fact that he's a bit of a tank and will throw himself between innocents/friends and danger. He doesn't necessarily realize this, but he's also not terrible at strategizing and planning, but he's not great at putting details into a bigger whole. At all. He needs all the pieces laid out for him in order to plan properly. If there's any need for basic mechanical repairs, sign him up for that, too.
