Information: Gojou is an aggressive sort of brat who refuses to be caught taking anything seriously. Only a few people (generally Meredith in game) tend to get actual cooperation out of him. He's a teacher where he comes from and also known as The Strongest there - so he's really adjusting to not being able to use his powers.
ADI Thoughts: He's suspicious and investigating the best way he can. Which, contrary to his personality, is actually subtle and slow paced. He refused to give them the benefit of the doubt and fully believes they have no good reason for restricting powers - he's only cooperating because it looks good.
CR Wanted: I want more people calling him out instead of just tolerating him. This is fun for me LOL. It'd be interesting to get him inclined to protecting more people, he reserves this sort of thing for the very few and I'd like to see someone spark more of it. Maybe he can hook up with someone else who is trying to investigate the ADI? I haven't gotten to play him teaching people enough, too.
CR Not Wanted: N/A
Extra: I really want him to fall into a trap of feeding his Fear and not being able to resist it. I want him to go down a darker route than he has in canon (which, considering his murdering a thousand humans recently, might be hard to achieve - but I'm up to the task!)

Information: Meredith was kidnapped during the kelpie event and turned into a selkie. Since then, she's been struggling to sleep and has lost her sense of security in this world. Find her trying to cope (and failing) in the admin/media relations departments of ADI.
ADI Thoughts: Mere's currently working with ADI, but she's less enthusiastic than she was before the kelpies. She's waiting to see if more Fucked Up Shit targets her.
CR Wanted: Fellow deadpan snarkers, people who can tell her to slow down and take care of herself, potential ships, girlfriends to go get mimosa brunches with, other members of the admin or media relations department, friends who drag her away from work to go do fun things, coffee aficionados, shopping buddies.
CR Not Wanted: Smut. Also, while I'm up for playing with younger characters, Meredith is not someone who's about to 'adopt' the kiddos. She's glad to make friends, but doesn't want to be seen as a mother-figure.
Extra: Meredith is a mundane human, but not awed by the idea of powers. She's from a world with superheroes and villains and doesn't approve of either of them.

ADI Thoughts: he's not particularly fond of that kind of bureaucracy or how they run things, but at the same time he's not against them.
CR Wanted: fight-friends! someone he can spar with or someone he can bicker with who's not afraid of him. that last part is important. i think i'd like someone to show up in his life who's pointedly just not terrified of him and his strength.

Extra: Mostly there's just RP commentary and RP-related memes. I also chatter about tabletop and post artwork. Very occasional music and politics plurks. Politics are always marked! Entity Affiliation(s): Mercy doesn't have any powers, but she's definitely got strong inclinations toward the End and the decay side of the Corruption.

Information: Mercy is a healer-in-training from a medieval fantasy world where religion tends to be the denominator between countries. There's no magic, but people believe it and a whole pantheon of gods exist. Mercy is a former follower of Brother Earth, a god of death and decay. She has turned her attention toward the Spring Tide, an order of healers, though, to try to do more good in the wider world. At the moment, she's been working hard to understand more about modern medicine and just... the modern world. She is a fish-out-of-water and trying to learn as much as she can to help.
ADI Thoughts: Mercy is a trusting soul. These people say they're trying to help save the world and she believes them with... only a few questions. She's less skeptical than she really should be, but if you're looking for someone who will challenge your character's suspicion of the organization, she's your girl. Surely *this many* people couldn't be in on a conspiracy. Those are between a lot fewer people.
CR Wanted: I'm really looking for Mercy to become a support character in this game. She's nosy and loves a good mystery, but she doesn't know what she's doing in this world and knows it. She's learned something from her youthful days and she's more cautious than she once was. If your character wants to Do A Thing, though, I'd really like for Mercy to help with that. Some specific things:
- Graverobbing: I would like for her to attempt graverobbing at some point. Old habits die hard. Just waiting for a good excuse for it, like an event that might make her think that's worthwhile.
- Found family: I love these dynamics and Mercy is a family-oriented character. She will glom onto people who seem like they could use a friend or a big/little sister.
- Discussions of Faith: Mercy is a novitiate for her order, but her devotion is very much in flux. She still mostly believes in Brother Earth, the god associated with her ancestral homelands. She's trying on the Spring Tide because it seems to want to do good in the world. Talk faith with her; she could be a convert if you're convincing.
- Conflict: I thrive on complicated CR and while Mercy's generally a friendly girl, there are ways to get her hackles up. I'm always here for more negative CR.
CR Not Wanted: Mercy has crushes that come and go. A lot of them. She will crush on characters that are too old for her. I'm not looking for that to go anywhere. If your character is 25+, she may yearn after them in the narrative, but let's not do anything with that.
Extra: Someone please explain that boys can like boys and girls can like girls. Her crush horizons are just waiting to expand.

Information: Full Frontal is an artificially engineered human who is meant to replace a famous MIA war hero and leader in his world. He sees himself as a vessel for the desire of a population group in his world and does not think of himself as an individual. He's spent all his 3 years of conscious existence leading a little terrorist military group on a space colony, so he is a total fish out of water in contemporary city living.
Frontal looks a bit like an uncanny valley imitation of a human being thanks to the many plastic surgeries his body has endured. He always wears a mask, too, so he really sticks out as an odd figure. Si far he's spent a lot of time at ADI HQ just observing and he has not participated in the missions so far, but he plans to change this with the next mission.
ADI Thoughts: Frontal is apprehensive about ADI. He understands that cooperating with the organization that appears to be at the heart of supernatural research in this world is his best bet at returning home and thus is willing to cooperate... but he's really not trusting.
CR Wanted: Anything and everything, I have not done very well at establishing him yet.
-> I'd like some CR with people based on living spaces. Just... living in the same apartment complex stuff maybe?
-> Frontal would like to find some allies who share his get-shit-done attitude so he can maybe partner with them for missions.

I’m just going to copy and paste the overview of his canon self that I put in the last ooc introAs for the game, he fought some kelpies with Keith, saved a Meredith seal, burned his fingers on a jockstrap, and is now greatly reevaluating his roommate situation ( Jacob made himself a seal ok ). He’s also about to go down the slide to trauma from the tdm. For the most part, he’s not… overtly traumatized, at least to the point that he’s dysfunctional. He’s been through a number with the Galra, so he’s… not used to this, but he’s jaded and a survivor, and has a system of coping.
ADI Thoughts: He’s not blind in his trust and he doesn’t have the utmost confidence in ADI ( or the new recruits ) but he’s trying to work with them as much as he can. Better than an apocalypse happening, yeah?

Information: Jeff's a rock 'n roll himbo bard from 1995, and you can find more character info in the link above! Generally, he's sweet, stupid, kind of messy, and totally self destructive. And he was kind of sort of possessed by a demon before arriving here, which was basically a constant waking nightmare, but now that he's suddenly demon-free, the silence in his head is totally bumming him out. He's a whole mixed bag of emotions, okay.
Anyway, he didn't do much in the last event because he's a weenie pacifist who barely escaped kidnapping. But he has been wandering around Gloucester, getting to know the lay of the land, local businesses, a few townies, etc. Mostly he's been drifting around, getting wasted, taking odd jobs, saving up for a guitar so he can get up to real bard shenanigans.
Ohhhh annnnnd he may have fucked with some tourists' heads and induced some good old fashioned hysteria in them to feed the Spiral. Don't worry, it's only temporary! Anyway, I'm all for someone eventually finding out that he's been getting up to this kind of thing, because he's definitely going to do something like this again.
ADI Thoughts: DISLIKE AND DISTRUST. He'll take the odd job with them for cash, but their "NO MAGIC/SUPERNATURAL ABILITIES" stance (however reasonable it might be, given the entities) put them in the instant dislike category. Being a witch/wizard/bard/magical weirdo is a huge part of his identity. ALSO he's very open about his feelings about the ADI, so that can certainly lead to some interactions.
CR Wanted: I'm game for anything and everything, with a particular love for found family, bad influences, good influences (or Jeff fulfilling the bad/good influence role for others), fellow musicians, fellow magic users, anyone who's dumb and/or curious enough to poke at the Entities (or to encourage him to keep poking at the Spiral), anyone with demon experience, and potential ships if things pan out that way!

Information: In short, Keith is a desert gremlin turned pilot of a sentient alien war machine who grew up functionally orphaned and has a lot of emotional baggage relating to abandonment and the death of loved ones. Though he's used to being in life or death situations, the last event left him a little shook. He wasn't able to save Meredith from the kelpies that ultimately kidnapped her, and furthermore his bayard's got a curse on it that's mmaking him exttremely paranoid. Because of this, he's actually put up conspiracy theory boards up in his room to document his own findings of goings on around town and about people he thinks are suspicious.
ADI Thoughts: Keith does not trust ADI much at all. He's pretty sure they're all being used as guinea pigs for something, but he doesn't know exactly what that something might be. For now he's going along with them (for the most part) while trying to needles Reyes and co into telling him more information.
CR Wanted: Friends to trauma bond with? People to begrudgingly get along with? People who can't exist in the same room as him without an argument breaking out? People he thinks are so suspicious that they feature on his conspiracy wall? Honestly, I'm here for everything. Keith is kind of a grump, but deep down he's pretty soft and prone to loneliness so having some found family here would be great! I'm also down for plotting wit people to gather more intel on ADI!

Information: Caduceus is a grave cleric: he comforts the dying and makes sure the dead stay dead. As a cleric, he's also a healer. He's easy-going, not the quickest pony in the race, but very observant and friendly until he has a reason not to be. He's adapting to this new world as best he can and trying to learn about it. In the last event he learned what a jockstrap is while recovering the artifact, healed some burns, and saved some seals after trying to talk to them - some successfully!
ADI Thoughts: Caduceus isn't inherently suspicious of ADI, though he's becoming aware of the disconnect between ADI and the community at large. Saving the world sounds like a good cause, so he will help as he can.
CR Wanted:
CR Not Wanted: No shippy for Cad. Your character is more than welcome to have a crush on him, flirt with him, make a move, etc. There is a 90% chance that he will not get that you're flirting, and if he does, he'll either act oblivious or gently let them down. I'm totally up for playing this out, though.

Information: Kate is from an earth with two moons. Second moon has given humans powers that are called Abilities. People with powerful, rare or super unique abilities are wiped from the record and pressed into service for various governments. Kate has just recently found this out and promoted. Knowing about the conspiracy and helping it is causing her to feel guilty.
She has a bad habit of ignoring her emotions and trying to bury them. Eventually it's going to catch up to her and she's going to blow. It'll be disastrous. I cannot wait!
When not working for ADI, Kate has been exploring the town. She makes breakfast and dinner for her roommate. In the evening, she either writes in her journal, crafts or bakes. If she can't sleep, it's all three.
ADI Thoughts: ADI is SUS not in an immediate negative way but more in the way she is going to take everything they say with a grain of salt. Who are they really? Why aren't they really freaked out about people being brought in from different universes? It's a little too convenient that they exist.
CR Wanted: I want connections, people to bond with and such. Since she doesn't have her powers, I'd like for her to learn how to fight the old-fashioned way. People to go crazy with. People to give baked treats to because she's made too much.

Extra: With the Magnus Archives, I'm really into the underlying cult politics of the setting. Beyond that, I'm into like... the personal transformation and development that happens with characters becoming avatars, as they embrace their worst qualities for better or for worse. That's kind of far off.in the future but that's what I'm most interested in exploring with Aelwyn! I'd like her to simulteneously become a better person and also embrace turning into a monster. Information: Aelwyn is a wizard from an extremely prestigious family who have lauded all their expectations onto her since she was young enough to cast a cantrip. She aggressively projects an air of easy confidence and narcisism to hide her deep self-hatred, guilt and inability to cope with the stress and pressure of being the golden child, all of which culminated in her joining a plot to overthrow a foreign government and start a war because she doesn't have to keep living her life if she ruins it beyond repair.
She spent the first month or so trying to prevent herself from using magic and breaking the rules in place, but eventually violated that to defend herself from being dragged off by a kelpie alongside Meredith, who she abandoned to save herself. Since then, she's been trying to keep her use of magic on the downlow, and save indulging her patron's desire for fear and terror for creatures and people that pose an actual threat to her and her co-workers.
ADI Thoughts: She's basically certain they're evil, she's just willing to play ball while she figures out if their evil plans benefit her or not. She finds it deeply annoying that they aren't pro-murder though, because where she's from there's a school dedicated to being heroes who stop apocalypses and they murder people brazenly in the streets all the time and nobody cares.
CR Wanted:
>Partners in Crime: People she can just make really dumb, self indulgent decisions with who are maybe looser on the morality side of things than some of the other people here. Despite appearances, she is actually more naturally a follower in this kind of social hierarchy, but if she's the most chaotic motherfucker on the block she'll step up and be a bad influence for other people.
>Fellow Nerds: Aelwyn.......... is a nerd who is already obsessively reading up everything she can about this world's understanding of basically everythin. People she can just sort of nerd out with without worrying about judgement would be cool.
>Good Influences: People who can be there to try to help Aelwyn be a better, happier person. Or try to anyway. She won't do well with being like, morally preached at, but also this girl has never really had anyone be particularly kind to her so it's not all that hard to try to reason with her lol.
>Found Family: Aelwyn wants a loving family SO BAD. Someone please found family her, she'll give you her firstborn. Particularly interested in a character who could be a little sibling kind of figure to her given her whole complicated tangle of emotions regarding her sister Adaine.

Information: Bucky Barnes was a sniper in WW2 who got himself experimented on and captured and memory-wiped until he fought for the bad guys for 70 years. He's been treated as a wind-up kill-bot for a long time, and put on ice whenever not in use. So far, he's sticking hard to routine and work, and is happy to keep his mask and sometimes goggles on to look as intimidating and non-human as possible, because that keeps him in serum-strength. The event was weird, in that he had to save people instead of just kill them, but he did a lot of killing too.
ADI Thoughts: Right now, ADI is the only thing keeping him sane. It's a framework to fill his day, it's people to take orders from even if it's only occasionally, and it's a roof over his head when he doesn't actually know how to go out into the job market to pay for one himself. In the future his opinions might change, but right now, threaten the ADI at your peril because he's defending it.
CR Wanted: Wide open, here. People to teach the basics of fighting, falling, and escaping to. People to be nervous because he's a faceless fighting guy with a metal arm. People to not be nervous and want to befriend him, who are patience enough to teach him what that means. People who think he's stupid or a shill for the ADI.
CR Not Wanted: No romance at this time, please. I'm happy for negative CR, but nothing so antagonistic that they'd be trying to kill each other. No mind control please, though regular manipulation is fine.
Extra: I'm very organic as to how Bucky develops (he has yet to wind up with the same name per game, which I find wonderful), and I'm game for positive and negative development for him. Make him better or make him worse (though better is probably preferable).

Information: Junior is a 6-year-old boy that was stolen as an infant and genetically modified into that of a 12-year-old with impressive physical and mental prowess. He's a polite young super-soldier that's been working as a spy and assassin for as long as he can recall. With no notable relationships with anyone and very little time involved in standard society, he's about as repressed and socially awkward as can be expected. He has the ability to phase, and will definitely be feeding his entity, unable to help himself from using this power. He hasn't been too affected by the last event since he missed out on the worst of it, but seeing such things has definitely shocked him, he's not used to literal "monsters" in this sense. It'll make him extra wary.
ADI Thoughts: Right now, he completely trusts them; it's in his comfort zone to follow orders and be put on life-threatening missions. If anything, being here is nicer than where he was before. Currently, Junior has no thoughts of leaving, but could potentially get kicked out in the future because of accidental entity-feeding or other house rule breaking.
CR Wanted: Please give me all mentorship, found family, and potential friendships! Really, he's hardcore in need of all three of these things, as he's never particularly known kindness in his young lifetime. Or if you aren't opposed to sending children on life-threatening missions, feel free to give him assignments! He's a hard worker, and he shoots before asking questions. I don't have any plans in particular, and am happy to just start wherever or see what happens naturally!
CR Not Wanted: cheap answer but there's nothing I don't want! I'm happy with positive, negative, and dangerous. Good influences, bad influences, yes please! He's easy to trust others even if he doesn't seem like it, despite his aloof outward nature he craves attention and affection. Obviously romance is out, since he's but a babe, but nothing else is unwanted.
Extra: He's very much not a Normal child, used to intense conditions. Other than that, nothing to report!

Jacob Stone is a Very Strange Cowboy who was a secret genius for like twenty years and became a Librarian who looks after magical artifacts and keeps them out of the hands of evil, in a giant magical repository called the Library (which is an actual Library as well). His job is pretty much a mix of aspects from Indiana Jones, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who and isn't entirely unlike what they're doing at ADI. The Library is secret in his world so he's enjoying being able to talk more it and it's nice that there's more people working on the same kind of thing here. Recently he was selkified, then stole his seal skin and brought it home and it seal'd him twice, sorry Keith and Shiro. He also accidentally got some fear off of Meredith and a random guy in town, so he's really worried about the whole Eye deal going on. He hates using magic but easily accidentally uses it due to the nature of his magic stuff going on so that's a fun conflict I'm excited to explore further.
ADI Thoughts:
Jake is only mildly suspicious, but he agrees with their mission and will continue helping them gladly, despite his pay being docked for the seal thing--which is fair, he thinks. He trusts Bonnie and feels sorry for her and the rest of the people of this world that the magic here always turns bad. As much as he complained about magic in his home, there was good magic there. Plus ADI is stopping apocalypses which is always a good thing.
I would be interested in throwing Jake into any ADI plots, he's going to be trying extra hard to be on their good side after his pay getting docked so he'll be staunchly helping them if anything goes down.
CR Wanted:
Anything and everything! Up for more entity shenanigans and accidental fear-feedings. Jake's thing is telling people terrifying facts happily. I'm really enjoying Jake's CR right now and everyone has been amazing. Always up for negative CR too! Jake's not always the easiest person to get along with and he can be arrogant and stubborn. But he is also very smol and excitable and friendly!

My main goal is for Jake to deal with corruption and the price of using magic even if it's for good. He hates using magic but I would like to toss him into situations that forces him to do so for the greater good. Jake is extremely well-aware of the potential of corruption due to it being a very real danger for Librarians, and it's like his biggest fear, so even better if he's aware of it but unable to stop it. RIP

Information: Elias Bouchard is a wonderful, bureaucratic boss who is simply here to try to reclaim his space as “Head”. Nothing terrible here. Nothing at all. He is just playing to his strengths, and his strength is Knowledge. (He is a charming bastard man with a delightful voice, and finds himself smiling over a joke only he knows rather frequently.)
ADI Thoughts: Not a fan, but mostly because they feel like an obstacle. They are a good lead on certain things, however, which he finds rather helpful.
CR Wanted: Any. All. Negative. Positive. I want it all. He is an easy man to hate, but gaining allies will probably be a more long-stretch goal for him, especially with so many people affiliating with a fear. Shipping – while not off the table – is very, very hard; he will never love someone else more than he loves himself. Trust me, no matter what, your character will not change that about him; however, that does not mean he won’t be kind to them in his own way.
CR Not Wanted: I’m okay with pretty much anything.
Extra: Elias is terrified of The End. He won’t make it overtly known, but if you’re that way, he’s going to be uncomfortable around you.

Information: Malcolm Bright is a former FBI profiler, now working as a consultant for the NYPD. He's highly skilled at reading people. His birth name is Malcolm Whitly, son of notorious serial killer Dr Martin 'The Surgeon' Whitly. That albatross has been hanging around his neck since his father's high profile arrest, even though Malcolm was the one that turned him in. Suffering from a variety of mental health disorders related to childhood trauma, Malcolm just tries to get through each day, catch killers so they can't kill again and dig into the fragments of his own repressed memories of his final weeks living with his father. For all that, he's a remarkably positive person, though his mentor - police lieutenant Gil Arroyo - would suggest that he could have a better sense of self-preservation.
In the last event he had to rescue Gil from being selkified. Gil being swallowed by a seal is now a feature of his existing night terrors from time to time.
ADI Thoughts: Malcolm is a little suspicious of ADI - they remind him of the seat of power in most dystopian novels - but they're providing his medication and they seem to be trying to help people, so he'll go along for now.
CR Wanted: I just want to get more into things, so if there's anything your character is doing that needs someone with detective skills, psychology expertise or rich boy energy, please hit me up.
CR Not Wanted: I can roll with most things.
Extra: He'd be a great friend for people to talk shit out with, with his patience and empathy and psychology expertise. I'd love for him to sort of be an informal counsellor for people or something. I'm also totally down for people knowing who 'The Surgeon' is, as Martin Whitly's crimes are very famous in Malcolm's reality, and it colouring their interactions in some way.

Information: Alex Reagan is a plucky, driven, Canadian-born investigative journalist for the fictional equivalent of NPR, Pacific Northwest Stories. Her personal podcast, The Black Tapes starts as a show based around interesting people doing interesting things and then dives into the world of the paranormal and the nature of belief. Playing the agnostic believer to the devout skeptic, Alex dives into the world of demons, cults, sacred geometry, horrifying children and the possible end of the world--which may be her fault. Oops. Obsessive and driven in nature, Alex is also empathetic to a fault despite the fact that her moral code may be loose and flexible (at best) at times.
She basically avoided the last event as much as she could.
ADI Thoughts: Alex is a little suspicious but also is intrigued by all of this. Which I'm totally sure will be fine.
CR Wanted: Basically any kind of CR. Alex needs friends, and she needs people who will sit down with her and talk stories. As someone who doesn't sleep, others who don't sleep are always wanted for folks to have "sleep is overrated" conversations or what not with. Fellow investigators willing to poke their noses in places they're not supposed to be are also totally sought after.
CR Not Wanted: Not really looking for super negative CR yet. I'd like to give her a little time to settle in a bit more before she gets like mortal enemies.
Extra: Alex is an excellent listener, and she's good at just talking to people. She's nosy but tries to be not an ass about it when it comes to people. Information: Jon is a somewhat prickly academic who is deep down a real softy who just wants to help people. He is also deeply traumatised, only tenuously human, feeds on fear, and recovering from being the god of the fear apocalypse. He's annoyed how much he misses it too.
He's extremely dedicated to people he cares about though, and also will take the blame for the problems of the world given the chance (he is already blaming himself for the state of this world).
ADI Thoughts: Jon is deeply suspicious of ADI. He has worked for an academic research institute for the paranormal which turned out to be a Temple to the Eye for too long to trust this stuff. As far as he's concerned, it's rotten to the core, he just needs to dig it up.
Also they have information and he wants it.
CR Wanted: Anything! Jon is a good person (mostly), but also extremely acerbic and sarcastic in a way that people tend to take offence to, and he's just bad at friends generally. He does have a lot of knowledge about the fears which he is hiding because he doesn't want to risk people blaming him (he is blaming himself quite enough!), or going after Martin. It would be fun for him to accidentally let something slip.
He probably needs more people who will make him sleep and take care of himself.
CR Not Wanted: Probably not up for Jon being *exposed* as a monster just yet

Information: Binx is a cursed immortal who appointed himself sentry against the return of the witches who cursed him...and who believes he's fulfilled that purpose by killing them before getting shunted off into another world. He's generally suspicious of all magic and magic users, and has latched onto ADI's mission to give him new purpose. He is, however, a woefully ineffectual combatant/investigator/what-have-you in general. He tries, though. He really tries.
ADI Thoughts: Binx was initially a little distrusting of ADI, but between his need to serve some kind of purpose and his agreement with their mission, he's probably overlooking a few red flags as he's jumped into trusting them.
CR Wanted: I'd just like him to have people to care about; he hasn't quite latched onto anyone yet but he's the sort who will look after the people he cares about (and sass them along the way). I'm also down to have him clash with people who take a more liberal view of magic.
CR Not Wanted: Nothing in particular comes to mind other than romance; he's a.) physically a cat and b.) way older than everyone else, and I'm just not interested in playing it out.
Extra: At some point I'd like him to realize that he needs to feed the Lonely if he wants to retain his immortality, which could come up if he talks with other people who have powers or if he gets injured and doesn't immediately heal from it. I'm probably going to hold off on that until he gets more CR established, though, since it'll raise big questions about whether he wants to keep that power and could get into some heavier themes - he's never feared death and his immortality was meant as (and feels to him like) a curse.
