OOC Intro #16
Welcome to Apocalypse How!
You've made it to Gloucester, and you're probably in one piece! Mostly... This is our OOC Intro post, a place for new players to introduce themselves, get to know one another's characters and find see who and what and when might click.
This month, the mod-run event will be posted on November 16. Be sure to check the Calendar to see what else we have going on!

Introduction: Local friendly DM and one of the mods on this lovely horror boat, mostly my time is split between archival work for a school district, Tabletop games (4 active) and RP, mostly I lurk around places or in my own tag plurk and occasionally surface for cats and sundry!
Availability: I tend to tag the most during the day during the week and at various times over the weekend, but I try to keep tags no older than 3 days old if I can help it! I'm good with both brackets and prose, I'll just try to match.
Extra: Definitely would like to keep her TDM interactions!

Information: Outgoing local troublemaker who tries her best to help her friends and only succeeds some of the time! Mae very often lacks a filter and sometimes foresight, and she has zero regard for public or personal property, but her heart's in the right place..
Plotting: Down for any kind of CR with Mae, she's great at making friends and bugging people and also being the local annoyance. She does suffer from Disassociation so if this is a sensitive topic for you, please respond over here on her opt-out! Because of her disassociation, I'm most inclined to finding her friends and connections that will help her settle in and keep herself grounded to start.
Also sorry to any new roommates, she came in with her bass!

He can also be a handful, and won't understand what dissociation is as mental health isn't a big topic where he's from at all. If she sticks to him like glue and wears him down, he'll be stand-offish and talk big, but he'll actually listen and look out for her and be pretty protective in due time.

Introduction: I'm Space, and I'm new! I RP around dreamwidth, play dnd, love horror/creepy things, kitchy halloween decorations, I collect silk moths and butterflies. I rotate out between anime and manga (currently keeping up with SpyxFamily, Chainsaw Man, and Mob Psycho s3), I play video games sporadically. My mind blanks out any time I have to write one of these, so just know if you add my plurk you will be subjected to pictures of my cat, that is a threat.
Availability: I'm in PST, but I work nights. So my available times are evenings/nights/very early mornings. If you need something answered in the day time, private plurk me and I'll wake up within the hour for it. Tagging style I can match brackets or prose! Depending on the thread + time, I can boomerang or hit a tag a day. If a thread is time sensitive for my or the other player's plot, I'll usually try to get to it quicker.

Information: Leonardo is the second oldest of the turtle brothers, and only recently appointed the leader a few months before his canon point. He's loud, he's annoying, he's egotistical and considers himself to be the charismatic funny man. He jokes and has a hard time taking things seriously when he's in front of other people. That said, for all his ego, he can back it up with the skills both in fighting and just general athletics. Loves winning, is a sore loser, but loves his family. He tends to annoy people at first and gradually wear them down to being friends.
Plotting: He's here without his brothers after the 2022 movie earlier this year, so he's going to be looking to help ADI so he can get home to his family while also genuinely wanting to help another world not be destroyed. He's going to be lonely as hell without his bros here so he'll want to latch on to anyone remotely close to his age. Otherwise I'm down for anything! Positive, negative, whatever CR, he's here for it.

Information: Delloso de la Rue is a 7-foot tall owlbear, described by their player as 'a hulking monster in a very pretty dress'. Rue has spent the last few millennia in a position of some celebrity as Faerie's most prestigious event planner. Outside of their work, the most important thing for Rue is fashion. (Some of their favorite looks, both in and out of their glamour: glam 1, glam 2, true 1, and true 2!) Speaking of, after so many years forced into wearing a glamour by their Court, Rue is really going to struggle with having to put one on for any adventures outside of ADI.
They are entering the game with their new fiancé, K.P. Hob (
Plotting: Mostly just getting in, settling down, and meeting people! Rue is coming in not only from an regency setting, but also from a high social standing which left them a little disconnected from the day-to-day of lower born fey. As such, they are coming in with very little living skills!!!! Let's see how long it takes for a total breakdown!

Introduction: I co-parent two lovely
naughtycats. When I'm not fending one of them off my lap so that I can type I'm usually playing warframe or one of the too many games in my steam library. Right now that'd be greedfall. Oh, and I also have many houseplants! Many. Lots.Availability: PST. I'm currently working nights, so my tagging times are kind of all over the place. Information: K.P. is a bugbear, which means he's around seven feet tall, furry, and has truly ridiculously long arms. As a former Major of the goblin army (and, honestly, being the only one that put any stock in appearances) K.P. has a rigid, stick-in-the-mud air about him. Now that he has renounced his position in his court he has to learn how to cope in a world where he isn't primarily concerned with the whims of the Goblin King and the only orders he has to follow are his own. It's a bit scary, but it should be. He is a goblin, after all. He'll be coming into the game alongside his betrothed,
Plotting: I don't have any immediate plans! I do want to have Hob work in the security and investigations departments, so CR with any coworkers there would be fantastic!

I would also love to throw a big harpy woman in his direction! Eda's already met Rue.
She isn't a huge fan of stick in the mud military types so they might not get off on the best foot but I feel like they'd probably get along in the long run.

Second of all, he's going to be absolutely blown back by how tall and weirdly proportioned this dude is and for all of that awkward conversation to ensue.
Third of all, they'll likely both end up in security, so I'm absolutely here for them to either get on eachothers absolutely last nerve, or either get along surprisingly well. Or somewhere in between. I'm canon blind so I don't know much about how they'd get along, but it'll be fun to watch.

Introduction: Hello, hello, I already got one John Carter in the game and now I'm here to bring my second 2k era disaster! One day I will watch new shows, I swear. I love sci-fi/fantasy and especially campy shows like The Librarians or Leverage. Outside of RP I'm into music/songwriting, languages and video games even though I never find the time to actually play them OH WELL
Availability: CEST (GMT+2). I'm usually around in the evening which I think is noon/early afternoon for most people. Usually more active on the weekends. I tend to default to brackets in games but do a lot of PSLs in prose, so I really have no preference there and can always match. o/

Information: Rodney is an astrophysicist and Chief Science Officer of the Atlantis expedition to another galaxy where he spent the last five years trying not to get eaten by space vampires that suck the life out of you with their hands.
He's arrogant, he's whiny, he's a neurotic anxious mess that talks too fast and too fatalistically, he has exactly 0 sense of tact, and an ego the size of a planet so what's not to like? A lot, but if you can bear with him, there's actually a decent guy under all that surface arrogance. Deep. Deep. Very deep down. Along with massive insecurities and heaps of bravery and willingness to go insane lengths for his friends.
tl;dr he's insufferable. You might wanna shoot this guy. But if the world goes to hell, he has your back.
Plotting: Man, just about anything under the sun! Getting him settled for now and out there into the action so he can meet people. Field missions, working with other characters for that "guess we're in this apocalyptic mess together" feeling, positive and negative CR, science buddies!!, messing up and suffering the consequences, having to learn how to play nice with others - I'm game for pretty much anything!

If you're down for it, I'd love to backtag him on the TDM cause I feel like Rodney and Sett would get along in doses. Like they hit it off well, but spending too long around eachother would piss them off(likely one of them says an off-handed insult and it spirals from there) so they gotta be separated, but eventually I think they'd be pretty good friends if they were put in situations to actually see past their exteriors.
The world stays in jock/nerd equilibrium and these two might be an unwilling pair.

Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: He has powers! He has great regenerative abilities, so he can take a hell of a beating and v rarely gets sick, but he has to eat a LOT to compensate for it. He can also store up kinetic energy used against him to throw back twice as hard at opponents and beef up his own physical strength.

Information: Mama's boy with daddy issues that grew up in poverty cause he's a half-breed, so he's got hella issues with trust and he'll cave your face in if you talk bad about his mom. He makes good money in his canon now, but via dubiously legal means, but he keeps things in order and under control as long as the law leaves him alone, and he doesn't mind housing criminals if they don't break his house rules. You get what you give with him. He can be arrogant and cocky, and quite the ladies man, but even if he acts like a womanizing jerk, he actually drinks hella Respecting Women Juice thanks to his mom. He also cooks and cleans v well.
Plotting: Def want to get Sett into trouble here, and I plan on moving him out of ADI housing and into Bonnie's, unless anyone in particular invites him to stay at ADI, but he'll be a habitual rule breaker cause he doesn't like answering to other people.
He has flatmates now that i'd like to plot with!
Sett isn't much of a detective, but I'm excited to get to send him out on missions with people purely as muscle. He's not stupid, but it's just Not His Thing. And maybe give helpful insight since he deals with illegal activities a lot.
He's pretty guarded as a character though, so my real first step is getting CR. I want to give him some real friends, so anyone with muses that deal well w difficult characters is 100000% welcome. I'm also still WHOLLY here for people typecasting him as a meat-headed jerk as it's 100% warranted, and developing CR from there!
He's canonically bi, and I really need Sett and a Vi to flex for their babes.
