Introduction: Hiya! I'm new around these parts, and in general I'm getting back into dwrp after a years-long hiatus. I work in state politics in the US of A (yeah... :/), but outside that I'm very into fantasy/sci-fi/action movies and shows, D&D, video games, and I also do theater, enjoy drawing, and going to the aquarium, and drawing all the critters at the aquarium, and I love driving long distances to go to weird old bookstores.
Availability: EST. My hours can be a little wonky but mainly I'm available in the evenings, though my Tuesdays and Thursdays are often booked. Weekends I'm mostly available during the day. Sorry to the people on the TDM that I've been tagging at a glacial pace lately, July has been happening a lot. I should be back to my regular tagging speed by late next week.

Information: Caitlyn is from a world where magic is extremely taboo and mages are actively shunned from most societies. Her best (only?) friend, though, is an inventor, and since he figured out that technology could be used to control magic, some people's tunes have changed. Caitlyn herself is a member of one of the ruling Houses of a prosperous merchant city-state, and as a result of being obscenely rich is also extremely sheltered and kind of stuck up and has never faced a consequence for any of her actions. Her heart is firmly in the right place, though. If someone needs help she's your girl. She spends all her free time obsessing over crime-solving and is actually really good at it, but she's prone to doing insane and reckless things to follow leads.
Plotting: All of it! I'm up for basically anything. In particular, I'd love for her to have some people to Fight Crime with. She'll want to work as an investigator for ADI, but will definitely be conducting her own investigations on the side. Anyone who would be up for shennanigans and getting in trouble (and breaking curfew lol) would be most welcome! Also just friends in general, people she can nerd out with! She's honestly kinda lonely and has no one to listen to all her theories. Wanna buy some red string and a corkboard and make a conspiracy board with her? Also she's from a world that is kinda maybe somewhere vaguely in the early 20th century, technology-wise? So someone's gonna need to explain modern tech to her.

I also love negative CR. If anyone out there is up to something shady, she could easily stick her nose in where it doesn't belong and make an enemy. Or, on a lighter note, she probably doesn't understand what chores are so there could potentially be conflicts with her roommates.

yes I'd love to do more with these two!! I think after she gets over their initial disagreement, Caitlyn would really come to respect Eve. I could definitely see some continued head-butting but also Caitlyn wanting to learn from Eve, since Eve knows way more about dealing with dangerous magic

she'd definitely be willing to give her info and tips etc about magic and being safe in this kind of situation

oh yes please give her all the info. She craves info. And will probably get herself in trouble if she doesn't have it lol

Yelena's in the Investigation department, and definitely has a few conspiracy theories about ADI and related nonsense, so we could toss them together for either of those things.

Yes I'd love to throw these two at each other! We could have them cross paths at work and go from there, I'm sure if they talk for long enough they'll also discover their mutual interest in conspiracy theories

Hey! I love Caitlyn a lot. I play Eda who... might not, at least at first, given she isn't exactly fond of cop types (and is a witch, which probably won't help). But I think it would be very fun to have them interact and see where it goes!

I'm afraid I'm canonblind for TOH so I don't know Eda, but I think it'd be fun to have Caitlyn meet a full-in magic user, and I'm totally game for throwing her at folks who aren't fond of cop types! Let's absolutely toss them together and see what happens!

Eda's... well, she's mostly anti-authoritarian because of her awful oppressive government, but she's also a chaos gremlin with a side of petty crime for good measure.

Hey, new roomie! I'm not canon familiar beyond what was in Caitlyn's app, but I'm excited. Donna's pretty sure Caitlyn can't be worse than her other two roomies, so if she seems sane... MAYBE new friend?

Hello roomie! Caitlyn is very sane and I could definitely see her and Donna being friends, though Donna might end up being stuck with the unfortunate task of teaching a full grown adult how to do laundry

I don't have a tl on the event yet, this past week ended up being truly insane, schedule-wise. But thankfully now I have free time again and I've most of the way written a catch-all for Cait for July. Since I've got a starter in that for Callisto I can easily do one for Donna as well!

HELLO WELCOME my name is Iddy and Callisto here is going to be one of Caitlyn's roommates! The good news is that she could not care less about chores, so if Caitlyn wants to leaves dirty clothes and dishes around she'll hear no complaints from this end. The bad news is that Callisto is a violent ancient Greek warlord who manifests her grief/trauma via neverending fury. She is truly the worst roommate, even though she's not around much.

(Also - my other character, Misty Quigley/

citizendetective, truly lives up to her username and would be delighted to get in on the conspiracy board action.)

And omg I adore Misty. I'm too wimpy for horror so I only watched a bit of Yellowjackets, but she was a stand-out. She and Caitlyn should absolutely be conspiracy buddies (though Caitlyn will probably be very quickly put off by some of Misty's more questionable methods)

I'll look around for open posts from you for sure! Or I can hit up her inbox for roomie things, if that's cool with you? Callisto doesn't spend much time in the apartment, even for overnights, but she shows up every few days to scope out the place (or raid the fridge).

I'm planning on throwing up a catch-all post some time tomorrow and I'll definitely include something detectivey so maybe Misty could jump on that? And I could also have a starter for a roommate thread in that, or you could hit up her inbox, whichever you prefer!

Caitlyn!!!! I really like our TDM thread thus far and am excited to continue it and do more things with her. Aelwyn is a former villain current investigator/researcher for the ADI and does a lot of spiralling about conspiracy theories in the privacy of her room.

Caitlyn and Aelwyn also have very similar backgrounds, though Caitlyn is a much better person lmfao. Aelwyn is trying her best but she's still... herself...

I think CR between them could be a fun mix of mutual side-eyeing over Caitlyn's sheltered optimism and Aelwyn's ruthless cynicism as well as working well together to investigate leading to actual mutual respect.

I'm actually a Fantasy High fan and I'm really excited about Aelwyn!! I'd love to continue their TDM thread (apologies again for the painfully slow tagging, this week ended up being even busier than I thought it would be, but things have quieted down and I'm getting back to normal now) and see where their relationship goes!

I love the idea of these two rich kids bonding over their shared rich kid history while also absolutely side-eyeing each other, especially since I feel like there's an element of "if my parents were different, I could've turned out a lot like you." Which could add some interesting flavor to the side-eye.

Winter here (Bucky Barnes technically, but names are hard, and anyway he's not really that person anymore is he?) is also in security-slash-investigations, so I'm sure these two will bump into each other :3 He's big and awkward and kind of loomy but he means well.

Hi Gail, nice to meet you! I'm excited to play with your version of Winter Soldier, I never see him taken from that canon point. Looking forward to tossing Winter and Cait at each other!
