John, in an attempt to learn more about the Hunt and his Avatar abilities, will accidentally discover an old book in a creepy run-down store that he isn't entirely sure he didn't see in the same spot yesterday. The book has an inscription that he accidentally reads out loud while he's making coffee in a coffee machine. (He's going to be very embarrassed about this considering he's seen The Mummy.)

The 'spell' travels from the book and into the coffee machine, which becomes sentient and starts trying to attack him. He manages to smash the coffee machine to pieces, but not before it sends a 'zap' through the electrical system of ADI apartments. This 'zap' may infect small appliances that are connected via plug, and infected appliances will immediately try to hunt and kill people.

This may affect appliances irregularly and intermittently, so for anyone that wishes to opt-out, their apartment could have been spared this terrible curse.

A bluetooth stereo may not be very threatening, but a toaster oven might find its way into someone's bath, or a blender might get some terrible ideas. To make things even better, sometimes if there's enough appliances they can magnetize and arrange themselves to form larger 'beasts' (think crappy Transformer ordered from Wish.com) that can actually pose even more serious danger.

Characters can defeat the cursed items via destruction (smashing it into tiny bits will work, but if the bits aren't small enough the pieces can still come after people), an electromagnetic pulse, or other such destructive means that render them inert.

John will bury the book inside Dogtown so that no one will find it again.

Sorry everyone.

There will be a post by John about this tomorrow or Saturday with action and network options, but no need to sign up though, anyone can join in on their own posts whenever you'd like! Any questions feel free to post here.
