Contact: sevenhelpings Can We Add You: Do it do it do it. Extra: On plurk I mostly post about rp-related things ( occasionally post about fit life and my pet mouseys ). I’m generally not super active on there but I respond quickly to notifs, so I’m easy enough to get ahold of. As for apchow, I’m here for shenanigans and horror. Big fan of ~the angst~ and the comfort that ( hopefully ) follows after. I’ve been torturing Shiro w most of the more horror-themed prompts from the tdms & events, but always looking to ramp that up. Will probably start fiddling around w an entity-alignment in the near future.
He’s basically a battle astronaut. Trained at Galaxy Garrison which is NASA but militarized for… some reason. He was abducted by purple aliens, tortured, fitted with a cybernetic arm and made to fight in a gladiator ring for sport. After a year of that fun time, he wound up as the Black Paladin of Voltron -- think power rangers but on stupid drugs -- and led a resistance against the Galra Empire ( the aliens who abducted him ). He has some massive trauma and hang-ups, but for the most part, he’s still a pretty chill dude. He’s taken from s2e3., if anyone knows the canon.
As for Apochow: He’s been here from the beginning of the game, so he saved humans trapped in seal bodies, fought kelpies, been to the cursed playground an’ it’s death temple, mentally tortured at the circus, come out of the butcher’s camp w all his limbs and just barely survived disaster w the monster bores… so Shiro is not having a good time. Surprisingly, he’s still functioning. He had a strong system of coping coming into this game ( aka powering through the anguish by sheer determination ), so he’s far from a wreck or dysfunctional. He’ll just continue to barely sleep and keep himself overly busy to keep himself distracted.
ADI Thoughts: His faith and trust in ADI is extremely shaky at this point, but he’s cautiously cooperating -- considering they are ( supposedly ) preventing an apocalypse, he thinks he’s of better use being involved in these missions, even if ADI does a shit job of briefing/preparing their agents for them.
Also, he's not immediately thrilled w every agent at ADI, new or old. He’s used to running a tight ship ( or trying to, when he’s playing leader to a bunch of teenagers ) and he can’t help feeling that some of the people here are not mentally equipped or physically prepared to take on everything thrown at them. A team is only as strong as their weakest link. Overall, he tries to be friendly but when it comes to running missions or how people conduct themselves for these missions, Shiro is far harsher in his assessments of people.
CR Wanted:
Positive & Negative. Pretty open to anything. Gimme shitposts and horror. But specifics, uuuuuuuh:
Neighbors at ADI: He lives in A3 with Keith ( they just lost their roomie Jacob Stone ;; ). Unfortunately, Shiro isn’t the type to throw a floor party and ( thankfully ) he missed the chance to bake hello neighbor cookies when they all first moved in. He’s friendly though; he’ll say hi if he spots your character in the hall.
Folks with tragic BS: Shiro doesn’t talk about his past much ( the whole degenerative disease, abducted by aliens, tortured by said aliens, intergalactic war, etc etc ), so not necessarily looking for someone to be the shoulder to lean on. Instead, Shiro would be that person. He has a lot of empathy for other people going through tough situations and wouldn’t hesitate to talk them through it.
Bad influences & fellow adrenaline junkies: Listen. Shiro is a cinnamon roll of sweetness… when he’s not being a low-key dick. He’s highly competitive and operating off a perception that he only has a limited amount of time to enjoy life, so… he does not always listen to reason or follow responsibility when it comes to having fun.
Mentoring relationship: He has his permanent mentee/best friend Keith, but Shiro thrives on being of use to other people. I’m thinking mostly that he would be good at providing combat instruction, more so in terms of hand-to-hand or training with a sword. Basically, if anyone wants to learn how to fight ( and fight dirty ), then hit Shiro up.
Sparring partners: He’s an ex-gladiator from alien deathmatches ( and called Champion for it ), so he can probably hold his own against most. Though, he can adjust to level of skill.
CR Not Wanted: All CR is good ok.
Extra: His right arm was amputated and fitted with a cybernetic arm ( fits from mid-bicep down ). It’s a cursed item: when he activates it, he becomes intensely aware of how foreign the arm feels, like it isn’t part of him. He feels a fraction of this in general any time he looks at his arm but. He hasn’t quite figured it out that activating the arm is the catalyst to this uneasy feeling ( both because he hasn’t activated his arm much here and because when he does, the high-stakes of the situation are distracting enough on their own ).
Terra.
