➥ Claire

Contact: [plurk.com profile] slanndalous
Can We Add You: Yep!
Introduction: I live in Seattle, teach under-represented minorities to code, love Marvel comics, Spout Lore, I don't plurk much at all outside of just rp stuff I'm up to
Availability: PST, evenings work best, I have no style preference
Extra: I'm all for keeping TDMs, but let me know if you'd rather start fresh

➥ Peter osborne

Canon: The Exorcist
Age: 56
Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: N
Entity Affiliation(s): The Desolation, The Slaughter
Permissions: HERE

Information: Peter is a Washington wildlife officer who is way too healthy for his own good. He's an Army vet from the Kosovo war that has healthfully coped with PTSD through therapy, counseling, etc. He enjoys helping others who are traumatized to find healing.

He's also a blunt flirt, and it's hard to tell when he's joking or not.
Plotting: Old men, let's start a book club! Other than that? He'll be helping with survival training, happy to answer questions about firearm safety, etc., etc. I'm pretty open. He's also not fully buying all this magic hooey, so if he comes off a little patronizing, sorry. He'll eventually see the light.
Visuals: he's a card

I'd be really interested to see how Mercy and Peter play off of one another. She finds 'magic' in everyday miracles, so a skeptic's viewpoint is going to be a puzzle to her, and she enjoys solving a good puzzle. She's also had some really traumatizing experiences with guns in her youth, but learning to master one would probably make her feel safer with them, as a potential in for them meeting.

oh nooo trauma kids!! Peter would be happy to take it slow and help her with firearm safety!!

I will say Peter does find God's touch and "miracles" in the mundane, buuuut wouldn't call it magic exactly! so yeah it would be an interesting conversation

Slow and steady wins the race! Guns in the modern world have significantly more safety features built in than she's used to, at least. No black powder or open sparks.

It's definitely magic. Mercy's convinced. Most of this world is going to seem like magic. But technology sufficiently advanced... so on and so forth.

Peter seems like a neat character! I don't have like, specific things I want but perhaps he and Archie can trade survival tips or something. (She has more experience with that sort of thing than you'd probably think when you first meet her.)

NONSENSE, he looks lovely.

Anyway, she's at least not a teen or twenty-something, even if she's not QUITE his age either. Adult friends!

I'd be interested in more threads with Osborne if you're willing to put up with this ridiculous gangster dude! I find Osborne kinda interesting so far and would like to see how these two interact as things progress/they get to know each other.

If you're willing to continue TDM threads I am. If not, no worries! We can keep that as their first little meeting if you like or start fresh, I'm good either way there too.

Old men ftw. I have a handful of those in my roster, too. (Not sure if you'd count this 98 years young dude or not...)

Please rope Bucky into your book club, buddy. That would be hilarious. Honestly, I just wanna see him interact with my not-sure-how-to-be-a-person guy and see how it goes.

Peter is good with not-sure-how-to-persons. He was one himself after he was discharged from military service. He miiight take some warming up to the fact that this young man fought in the second world war, buuuut we can cross that bridge when we get there haha

He's not that young >.> Also he doesn't remember yet, so Peter's peace of mind is safe for now :D

Hello roommate! I, too, would like my older-than-he-seems boy to join this book club. Binx is kind of a weird mix of stuck forever in a teenage mindset but also three hundred years' worth of existentially tired.
