Tabletop roleplaying nerd (D&D 5e, Chronicles of Darkness), webcomic reader, general nerd about town. I have listened to the first 4 seasons of TMA, but don't mind spoilers. I don't keep up with most TV/movies, and my taste in video games is eclectic, so I'm likely canonblind to your character. Availability: GMT+6, available most of the time. Otherwise, discuss with me; I'm cool either way. ➥ Meredith Idlewild Canon: Original - An unnamed 'verse with superheroes and villains in it, with its heart in the city of Hightower, Delaware Age: 28 Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: No Entity Affiliation(s): None yet Permissions: here Information: Meredith is a burnt Millennial cinnamon roll. She's got medical debt, student loans to repay, a boss who is a literal supervillain and chronic illness all on her mind--except only the last is relevant here, right? She's a sharp, organized woman whose skillset is only partially relevant to the setting she finds herself in now. For the curious, her specific health condition is hypermobile Ehler-Danlos syndrome, which leads to issues with the connective tissue in her body. She tends to dislocate joints really easily and walks with a cane for extra stability, as well as wearing silver ring splints on all her fingers. She does have chronic pain (and other odd symptoms--stomach issues, etc.), and will be hitting up medical for painkillers and other meds for her condition. Plotting: I'm considering an open post for a shopping (maybe thrifting?) trip, for those staying at ADI who want to go spend their clothing allowance and get to know one another. Visuals:

My plurk is primarily for RP communication and memes but I also post lots of animal pics and cooking/baking endeavors. And sometimes I host watch parties or stream games. Extra: I'd love to keep TDM interactions! ➥ Marcus Keane Canon: The Exorcist (tv) Age: 55 or so Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: Y - during moments of need Marcus can channel God to bring people back from the brink of death/bless an entire lake's worth of water/receive a divine vision. Entity Affiliation(s): the Lonely Permissions: HERE Information: Marcus is an excommunicated priest (though the Church is full of integrated demons so take that as you will) and an accomplished exorcist. He's a compassionate and faithful man but he does not play by the rules or, in general, behave much like a priest at all. He doodles in his bible, he picks locks, he carries a gun, he gets right up in your face and challenges everything you believe in. Although he loves people more than anything he's also rather jaded, as he's had a terrible life full of hardship and has seen true evil in humans and demons alike. Still, he'll do anything he can to help someone, especially children. He's stubborn and abrasive and relentless, and also an artist! Plotting: I've heard from the mods that there are many religious characters in the game and would love to interact with them to compare faiths! Otherwise I'm down for absolutely any and all CR. Marcus is going to be largely distrustful of the ADI so like minded folks are welcome. And so are hijinks! Marcus is actually an excellent partner in crime, if you can convince him that your crime is worthwhile. Visuals:

I'm a queer gal in her late 20s living in New York City with my fiance and roommate (basically my brother) and two very dumb cats. I work in customer service for an edtech company so I am online a whole lot. I'm a big TTRPG nerd (currently very into D&D and World of Darkness but have experience in a lot more) and love video games- currently playing tons of Dead By Daylight and Stardew Valley, but some of my favorites are Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Persona 4, Life Is Strange, Animal Crossing, and every Pokemon game ever made. Availability: I'm EST and do most of my tags at night (so 8 PM - 1 AM) at any given time, but I'm online a lot if you have a quick question. Most of the time I reply to a thread every 2 days or so, but sometimes I'm slower. If there's a thread you want me to prioritize, let me know- happy to be quicker on something if you need. He's more of an ex-entity type. Entity Affiliation(s): The Lonely, but also the Eye and Web won't stop blowing up his phone. Permissions: here! Information: He's here! He's queer! He's a bit of a disaster but you know what else is new. I imagine most people are going to be familiar with him, but for those who aren't, Martin is a disaster man that has done just about this exact song and dance before. He slipped his way into an archive job studying the supernatural, found out the supernatural is real, the head exec is holding your life hostage, and you have a big gay crush on your boss that gets really, really complicated through a series of near-death experiences. He's coming from the end of season 5 so obviously spoilers will be a thing, but I'm happy to tag or just avoid it altogether. Plotting: I'm really up for anything! Obviously he's going to be sticking very close to Jon for the foreseeable future, but as is typical he's a bit nosy so he'll find his way into trouble. Visuals: Obviously he's a podcast character, but for my interpretation I fly primarily on this artist's design. Generally tall and fat, mess of red hair that should be curly but obviously isn't very well taken care of with more white in it than you'd expect from someone in their 30's. Light skin, freckled, glasses, the whole package. He's friend-shaped. That said, bonus:

She is in training to be a cleric for a traveling healer based order: the Spring Tide. Her family is in the undertaking business and their ancestral religion worshipping Brother Earth (a god based on respect for death and decay) is one that is typically frowned upon in her home country. Mercy still reveres death, but she's trying to carve a new path after a lot of trials and tribulations the last few years. Her beliefs are in flux and she could turn a lot of different ways. Plotting: Is your character the religious sort? Please talk to Mercy. She will happily talk about faith and might even be someone who could be convinced to shift away from the Spring Tide if you're offering something she sees as designed to do more good in the world. When he ends up joining the Library he loves it, but absolutely hates having to use magic because he's afraid it will corrupt him and the people he loves. Does he still use magic when necessary? Yep! He also loves to fight and brawl, he's more trained than he was at the beginning of the series but he still has a lot to learn. Jake also comes right from a point in his canon where he was literally absorbed into a tree and became their voice so now he's got an affinity to forests and plants which would be fun to play out if anyone has any nature stuff up their sleeves! He also has a nifty now-cursed book that gives clues and that does terrible things to him. Plotting: Anything and everything! I really would love to play out his horror at his established patron and what it means to use magic here, plus any nature-related shenanigans as well. Jake is pretty easy to get along with but he's also very arrogant and likes to get into arguments. He will debate all day about Facts™ and Why We Shouldn't Use Magic. My plurk tends to be a mixture of RL/RP and fandom stuff. Fandomwise, I probably plurk the most about fiction podcasts and D&D liveplays (or, okay, Critical Role) but I also enjoy fantasy books in general. Also very fond of webcomics (the ones I still mostly follow are Lackadaisy and Stand Still Stay Silent). Also! I like comics in general! Especially indie stuff. Availability: I am EST and MOSTLY tag on weekends/in the evening on weekdays though occasionally I will do a tag or two in the mid-day. Age: 32 Does Character Have Powers/Cursed Items: Nah Entity Affiliation(s): Not formally yet but MAYBE the Corruption or the Spiral Permissions: HERE Information: Archie is, again, an extremely friendly young woman who is coming into a world with potential apocalypses...from a world that's already experienced one! As the name of the canon suggests, Archie is a survivor of a zombie plague and resulting sort-of breakdown of society. But she doesn't let that get her down! She's also a "runner" (Runner 20, precisely) for a compound called New Canton, which means she's used to being out in the field and in danger. While she comes off kiiiiiiind of like a ditz - please be prepared for her to go off on tangents about English words and phrases. or apples - she is, in fact, QUITE SMART (she has a degree in protein crystallography from Cambridge). Plotting: I would mostly like to inflict Archie on everyone tbh but ESPECIALLY if you need a sunny, talkative optimist for your closed-off character, I would like to provide her. My only caveat is that I don't necessarily want her abused by characters will ill-intentions. Though, attempts at manipulation are okay! (She gives people more chances than she maybe should, but she does know how to stand up for herself and will give someone a piece of her mind if she thinks they're a Bad Person.) Visuals: (Archie's from an audio canon and and has absolutely no physical description, but I pretty much think of her as blond, athletic and pretty. She is...from some Eastern European country.)

Entity Affiliation(s): Spiral Permissions: HERE Information: Tomas is a catholic priest from Chicago who teamed up with a veteran priest named Marcus to help save souls from demonic influence. He's pretty inexperienced at the whole thing but he's learning. And he has this whole bad habit of letting demons into his mind to fight them? Yeah that's definitely not gonna backfire on him at ALLLLLL. Plotting: The only idea I have so far is that Tomas might try and set up a Sunday church service for people eventually. Obviously he's going to have to work at this to find a space and get that set up so it's not a right away thing. Visuals: Look at this cute piece of priest!

I'd be really interested to see how Mercy and Peter play off of one another. She finds 'magic' in everyday miracles, so a skeptic's viewpoint is going to be a puzzle to her, and she enjoys solving a good puzzle. She's also had some really traumatizing experiences with guns in her youth, but learning to master one would probably make her feel safer with them, as a potential in for them meeting.

Peter seems like a neat character! I don't have like, specific things I want but perhaps he and Archie can trade survival tips or something. (She has more experience with that sort of thing than you'd probably think when you first meet her.)

Showing skin is completely optional, and if Mercy's not comfy with it, we will find the best modest fashion possible, using the tricks Mere's learned from her sister who married into an Orthodox Jewish family.

I’m currently deep in the wonders of Critical Role (I love one floaty wizard boi), TMA, RvB, Dungeons and Daddies, The Silt Verses, TAZ, and…well, a lot of podcasts, I see. I love video games (Borderlands is my absolute love, but FF7, FF6, just finished Omori and about to take on Alan Wake again, I think) and have recently started getting into TTRPGs. Really. Nothing bad going on here, nope. Not at all a manipulative, corrupting force bent on dragging you down a dark path for his own reasons. (But really, he’s charming, composed, posh. He carries himself well and it’s hard not to fall for it, at least for a little while. He tends to keep his anger locked tight, and when it brims, Bad Things Happen.) Plotting: I’m open to anything and everything. Right now, he’s bent on trying to figure out this world, what’s happening, and the rules of the game.
