Welcome to Apocalypse How!
You've made it to Gloucester, and you're probably in one piece! Mostly... This is our OOC Intro post, a place for new players to introduce themselves, get to know one another's characters and find see who and what and when might click.
This month, the mod-run event will be posted on July 21st. Be sure to check the Calendar to see what else we have going on!

Introduction: i'm in my mid-twenties and live in asia and my back shouldn't be this weird, but here we are. i've been into resident evil since i was a wee child (which probably explains my taste in things) but have only recently started writing chris on dreamwidth! i like to draw and write for hobbies, my work isn't too bad, and i really dig spaghetti. also i use my plurk for rp and fandom stuff mostly, but when i say fandom stuff it's really mostly resi and fortnite?? but there're other things sometimes!!
Availability: i'm in gmt +8 and default to brackets, but i'll adjust to partner preference easy. depending on length of threads i might only be able to tag when i'm not at work, but y'know
Extra: down for keeping any tdm stuff canon if anyone else is

Entity Affiliation(s): none so far, he's a total normie. in terms of compatibility though the extinction, the flesh, and the web might think he's sexy but chris only has eyes for the hunt

Information: coming from his home world, chris is the captain of a rogue squad that fights bio-organic weapons, which is just a fancy term for "monsters created through viral, parasitic, or fungal infection". he used to be part of a worldwide organisation sponsored by the U.N. (and had founded it, even!), but ditched when said organisation chose to cover up a fungal incident. shit's too shady for him-- chris is morally upright and values saving lives over everything else; he's got no shame dropping anything that contradicts that (it's what got him kicked out of the air force in his 20's).
he's got a good heart and can be a bit of a dork (ask him to show you his sick yoyo tricks), but he's also very tired. he's recently finished an operation that's taken a toll on him personally and is quietly in grief about that. he's also got an infant he promised to take care of in his home world so, uh, he'd like very much to survive this one.
tl;dr chris is a Good Dog. down to shaking his head to dry his hair and everything.
Plotting: give me that sweet sweet gen cr. chris is a leader/mentor type and gets attached too quickly to people (Found Family Syndrome), which is unfortunate. working for the adi, he's more than happy to help anyone with brushing up on combat skills and the like, though his official designations are investigations and equipment.

I'd love to find an opportunity for Chris to save Meredith from danger. She's a bit useless in all the areas he's strongest in.

But honestly, outside of assignments they'll probably be able to bump into each other at commissary or something at least. Sitting at the table full of new kids that don't fit in with the vets and all that. Teaching survival skills in community learning style? Maybe they both end up smoking in the same area? LOL.

I feel like Keith is probably going to make Chris feel p tired, BUT despite the snark and stubborn streak, Keith is pretty good about trying to do right by people. Not sure where their CR could be interesting.

I'm not TOO familiar with Keith's canon, but if he's the sort to keep himself sharp in his combat skills and the like, he can always wipe the mat with the old man in sparring for starters!!

Keith's gooing to be spending a lot of free time working on his hand-tp-hand combat and try to up his sharpshooting game, so this is defs a good possibility! If the event log doesn't create a good avenue for them to meet, we can definitely go with that

i like to think that if they were snooping around together that they were caught and briefed at the same time, so it's super cute that they're roommates now. LMAO.
on the one hand, what is this kid doing knowing how to fire a gun. on the other hand, since he does know how to fire one, might as well try to help him know how to do it right to up that chance of survival... 😔😔😔

It would also absolutely be fun for Chris to want to teach Junior proper weapon handling and he's just politely like "ok" because he doesn't want to upset him by clarifying that he's more than proficient as it is.

He has so many mixed feelings over such a skilled little dude existing, OK??? Even his sister was at least 15 when he started teaching her how to defend herself... unreal...
I'm also kind of laughing imagining Chris texting Junior every time he finds out something new just because Junior being the first person he met since arriving means they're now non-official partners?? They might've been busted once, but!!
