Summaries and content warnings for each prompt in the event are provided below. Please pose questions to the designated mod comment, and plot away!
➥ Deep: 16-20 February
➥ Chasm: 21-24 February
➥ Stuck: 21-28 February
➥ Sink: 24-28 February
➥ Deep
(cw: claustrophobia, existential dread, power loss, victim-blaming, time distortion, supernatural compulsion and hunger)
Characters are trapped in their homes as snowfall seems to build a specific wall around them for five straight days–it feels significantly longer than that, though. They receive periodic notices on the network that they should shelter in place and not come in, but that directive is undercut by additional notes indicating that characters are failing to act while something dire is happening. They will not have access to additional food or other supplies while trapped, so hope you stocked up ahead of time. In addition, characters connected to a supernatural patron will find themselves being sapped of their abilities and an intense hunger taking over. They will have few options to feed, save on those they're trapped with. While the internal network works… all other outside internet access seems to be gone.
➥ Chasm
(cw: warped perceptions, memory-loss, implied trauma, supernaturally-induced feelings of missing out)
Characters manage to finally break through the snow walls only to find there's nothing actually there. The city appears to be normal, but there's a pervasive sense that something massive happened and they weren't a part of it. The people on the streets seem to be stricken in some way, but can't provide any details of what might have been missed. There aren't any news stories or any indications on the internet about what's been missed, but there is something. Characters will feel that down to their bones.
If you'd like your character to be the first to pop out of the snow walls and break the illusion, please comment here (LINK) by 11:59 PM Pacific Time, 15 Feb. (You can find your own timezone by checking here (LINK). It's perfectly fine if your character is with someone else when they break through the wall. The winner of the RNG will just be the very first.)
➥ Stuck
(cw: flooding; natural disasters; damage to homes, workplaces, and possessions; references to burial, suffocation, crushing, and murder; supernaturally induced anxiety, responsibility fatigue, and feelings of inadequacy; illness)
Characters return to ADI Headquarters to find that the building was attacked in their absence, and rumor has it there's a prisoner now missing from the cells on floor B4. There's a lack of coherent response to the attack or whatever looming threat it promises from ADI, however, as NPCs and player characters alike find themselves overwhelmed by constant requests, problems, and crises far beyond their ability to keep up. These may include mundane problems related to the damaged headquarters building, apartments, and Flophouse; demands from their jobs; problems in their living situations; as well as miscellaneous supernatural phenomena. Those who would choose to eschew responsibilities at work or try to reprioritize will find that there is always something in need of doing that is important to them, to the point where new problems may seem to arise in impossibly, almost cartoonishly quick succession. Characters may find themselves feeling mentally foggy and struggling to focus on core issues in the face of this inundation of needs from the people and environment around them, and may fall sick from overwork. These effects will overlap with both the Chasm and Sink prompts.
➥ Sink
(cw: claustrophobia, suffocation or near-suffocation)
There are reports of supernatural activity, once more, at Coffins Beach. Concerned about more Kelpie Problems, investigative teams are sent out to watch the water and walk the dunes at the beach. It's not the water that seems to be the issue this time around, though. Instead, some of the dunes look… larger than usual. Not unnaturally so, but noticeably. Walking over them, larger or just a simple little mound, characters will find that at least one partner seems to fall suddenly into the dunes. Sinking down into a sort of tube made of sand. It goes down strangely deep, and once you hit the bottom, the walls of it become unstable. Better hope your partner can get you out before your fully buried alive.

QUESTIONS

And while it's not directly relevant to my character because she's yet to make those particular horrible life choices, if someone with an entity affiliation does feed, will they be able to operate normally, or is the power sapping/hunger cycle going to be an issue until the illusion breaks?

additional question: Are their homes the only places they can get trapped? Could someone how works at ADI end up trapped there for the duration?

→ Housing: tbd
→ What ADI Department(s) Does the Character Work In?: none yet but likely working toward investigation and either research or security
→ Permissions: HERE
→ Deep: Garner's usually very patient and collected, he's definitely available to try and calm down someone who might be freaking out more about being snowed in, he'll also want to help with any survival things like rationing or keeping people warm. That said, he's Hunt-aligned, so that itch to do something will get to him before the end...maybe that need to hunt someone (for some perceived or even mundane reason) can turn on you...?
→ Chasm: Garner's definitely got the strength and determination to work through the ice and snow to get to the other side, but I'd rather he be with someone else when he does because...he won't be able to see what's going on once they're through anyway. So, anyone want to team up?
→ Stuck: He doesn't have a lot of ties to anything at all here, so I imagine this will manifest in more of a frantic feeling of needing to do something, so maybe let him help you with your workload?
→ Sink: Absolutely here for either Garner rescuing someone or someone needing to rescue him! He might not be able to see, but he can hear very well and someone suddenly going under the sand is noticeable.

Caduceus Clay | Critical Role
→ Housing: Bonnie's, Room 7
→ ADI Departments: medical/counseling
→ Permissions: HERE
→ Note: easing back into the game, apologies for my absence.
→ Deep: Caduceus tends to plan for big meals and so he stocks up on food. He has at least one spell that also allows him to conjure food: 45 lbs of food and 30 gallons of water every 24 hours, but given that he's connected to the End, he will be among those finding themselves powerless and hungry.
Prepare for a somewhat creepy grave cleric. He will try to avoid doing anything big, but he will also be looking for ways to feed the End and if anyone is afraid of dying or has that sweet sweet existential dread.... he might be hanging around more. If anyone wants to encounter this in either mild or intense ways, I'm game. He'll also be doing things like making mushrooms grow places.
He's a calm presence and he wouldn't be overly panicked about being snowed in, but his mood is definitely going to shift as the hunger and compulsion grow.
→ Chasm: Love this prompt, putting Cad in the ring as possible the first one out so we'll see! But he's intuitive and the feeling of the town after they all get out is going to pull at something in him. He knows trauma, knows what it looks like, but he doesn't understand what might have happened. Time to investigate.
→ Stuck: Caduceus works in the medical center and in the counseling center, I'm absolutely here for him to be overwhelmed by player characters, NPCs, or just a sense that he isn't doing enough or that he's forgetting something that desperately needs to be done. Also here for living situation problems, interpersonal problems, etc. Caduceus is a helper and does not have a high intelligence score, he might worry he's losing his mind a little bit.
→ Sink: Caduceus is on the case! He mostly just... kind of really needs/wants to kill something or see things die, so if the kelpies are back, that's a public service, right? He'll go out with others to search and walk and I absolutely want him to sink into one of the dunes. It's a problem he's had before.
I'm also up for having him rescue people! He goes around with his staff which has a decent reach and he's a grave digger, so he's... good at digging.

→ Housing: Bonnie's
→ What ADI Department(s) Does the Character Work In?: ssssort of Investigations, occasionally Admin, but people may notice he's been even less present than usual
→ Permissions: HERE
→ Deep: Though he lives at Bonnie's, Jeff will be hanging out at the ADI apartments (Block B) when the snow starts to fall. He's already going to be hungry going into this event, since the ADI's been snooping lately, and he's had to pull back from his usual methods of feeding his Entity as a result.
Which means he's going to go wild and absolutely try to drive anyone in the vicinity mad with his magic-- subtly, for once. (And unlike usual, he'll be more inclined to outright lie and potentially gaslight if questioned.) Let me know if you'd like to have a twisty good time with a Spiral boy!
I don't have any particular ideas for the other prompts yet, and since I'm still very very behind on tags (sob I'm sorry, work started again very suddenly and my free time vanished), I might just focus on Jeff giving in to the Spiral and any ensuing fallout!

→ Housing: ADI B-1
→ What ADI Department(s) Does the Character Work In?: Information Technology with a small slide to Security because he wants to get on Neil's last nerve I guess
→ Permissions: HERE
→ Deep: B Unit at ADI- beware? The cabin fever will be hitting Tim heavily; he's just not equipped to deal with the new hunger that comes from having flirted with the Eye. His power to connect with computers will just further get under his skin: While the internal network works… all other outside internet access seems to be gone.
That's sus, right?
End of the world levels of sus? ...no? He may go to dramatic lengths to distract himself from the restlessness.
→ Stuck: The crushing weight of responsibility, you say? More of the above, with Tim being highly susceptible to getting caught in overwork. This will definitely make him want to tap into the stores of energy from feeding from fear- want more vaguely threatening messages in your inbox? Or maybe help a dumbass out.
...who wants to break into a server room?
→ Sink: He can either be the one to fall or be partnered with someone who takes the tumble! Just a normal guy trying to shovel the sand away with cupped hands, pls don't die on him. Or do. I ain't no cop.

→ Deep: Manji has not been a good entity-aligned man and has so far avoided feeding the Corruption. He's been feeling a bit tired and run down lately because of it, but not enough to want to give in and scare someone. This just might push him to no longer be able to ignore that hunger in the back of his mind. If someone would like to check on the two people in C1 and would be interested in being fed on that could be fun! We can work out the specifics of how we want the fear to happen together depending on everyone's comfort levels as I know the Corruption can hit a few areas people might want to avoid.
→ Chasm: I've signed Manji up to be the first to bust through the snow and ice, but I would prefer if he had a partner with him helping!
→ Stuck: While not normally a team player, Manji will be throwing himself into work. (Possibly to try to remove some of the guilt he feels from feeding his Entity, but he'd never admit to that). From fixing damaged parts of the building, to ground work, to tracking things down. Anything that doesn't involve needing as little technology as possible and Manji will volunteer.
→ Sink: Happy to have Manji out checking on the dunes! Either as someone trying to pull their partner out from the sand of sinking in. Note; he only has one arm so we may want him to be the one falling in. Or he is a pretty strong so as long as the character isn't deceptively heavier than an average person he should be alright pulling them up!

→ Deep: (16-20 February) - She needs to feed her powers but can't. How do you terrorize your two good friends who happen to be assassins? There's no one to scare when there are cameras on the hallways! AHHH! Help!
Aside from that, she'll be focusing on her hobbies like sewing, cooking and baking. Apartment C2 won't need food but her roommates might be feeling a bit 'She's not stuck in here with us, we're stuck in here with her.' How many times can you dust? LET'S FIND OUT!
She can also run into people in the hallways and the other amenities. Maybe she'll teach Winter and Yelena yoga. She is mildly claustrophobic so this is going to be fun.
→ Chasm: (21-24 February) - FREEDOM! But what's wrong with everyone outside of the complex. This is all SUS!
→ Stuck: (21-28 February) - She's a workaholic who will find ways to keep herself busy. That there are actual problems to solve is a bonus for her. She works in Administration and Staff Development. She teaches cooking, sewing, baking a few other little things. If anyone wants to encounter her there, I'm game.
❤️❤️DURING THIS TIME AN INVITATION TO A LADIES NIGHT OF DRINKING AND SHENANIGANS WILL HAPPEN! ❤️❤️
After being stuck inside for so long, they all deserve a break. New drinking game idea, every time you spot Winter, take a shot!
→ Sink: (24-28 February) - I'm open to Kate being the victim of sinking sand or trying to rescue someone. She's kind of a lightweight though. Or maybe just going to the beach with someone to do some research.

→ Deep: So Winter has, up until this point, not realized he's affiliated with a fear entity. This is going to make it very clear to him. He is going to be very mad about this, mostly at himself for not noticing, a little at the fear entities themselves. He also is not interested in all of you performing shenanigans inside the ADI apartments and tormenting each other, so he'll be patrolling. And stopping you idiots. Because he is both extremely easy to scare if you know his triggers and very hard to scare if you don't, and he takes no shit from people he teaches how not to fall on your asses.
→ Chasm: Winter does not have a ton of initiative, and will not be the first to bust out of the snow, but once someone else breaches the outside world, he'll be out prowling around trying to figure out what happened. Probably scaring people while trying to figure out what happened. And being annoyed at himself for it and trying to stop with varying levels of success.
→ Stuck: Working really hard is the best way to avoid nightmares, amirite? Look Winter has no real hobbies besides practicing weapons work and teaching people weapons work, which means he will absolutely be working himself to the bone trying to keep on top of all the little problems, and will not complain at all until he actually physically collapses, if he does. He's gonna fall asleep in the bath sometime that week, I bet. Or in a supply closet on ADI grounds.
→ Sink: Who wants to be his partner and get rescued and/or try to haul his ass out of the sand tunnel? Because he is Very Heavy, thanks to that metal arm and all its metal supports....

→ Deep: So, Donna is stuck with Callisto during this nightmare, and to keep herself sane, she's going to be throwing up a game on the network. Because what better way to deal with snow than the break the ice. Ey? Ey?
→ Chasm: Donna is someone who perpetually feels like she's missing something... often because she is. This will not be an unfamiliar feeling. It will, in fact, be a frightening reminder of home and what her life was like before the Doctor.
→ Stuck: While she's not much of a workaholic, Donna can't say no to someone in need. She will try to help anyone who seems to need it and is going to end up running herself ragged into a cold.
→ Sink: While she's dealing with all that, of course, there's the beach... Just to balance out the awful, I'd love for Donna to rescue someone from the dunes. With a hell of a lot of panic and tears along the way because she didn't bring a BLOODY SHOVEL!!!

→ Deep: Jaeger is the type to stay prepared when he can, so the apartment will have at least a little bit of a buffer for supplies. That won't help much when it comes to fueling Jaeger's patron, the Hunt. Having people trapped in the apartment with an Apex Predator sounds like a good time, right? WONDERFUL. Don't mind the prowling and lurking, he's just going to...pretend it's okay. Really. He'll probably try digging out, but that's going to suck with his hands still healing from his run-in with the last event. But don't worry. he doesn't have any specific nefarious plans in mind, really. Just...lingering. Watching. You like to sleep, right? He likes to watch people sleep. Just to be sure.
→ Chasm: Jaeger will eventually start digging out, something he'll continue to attempt purely out of restlessness until they actually manage to escape. As a mage skilled with certain sorts of mind magic, he'll be quick to notice the state of the people around him, and will not be happy about it.
→ Stuck: Jaeger, as a member of security and investigations both, will do his best to piss on any fires that he can possibly stop. Granted, that's going to be a lot of them and he's going to find himself withdrawing into his professional persona to cover for that sense of being overwhelmed. Coffee, lots of black coffee is the best answer he's got, while everything goes mad around him. This is going to be complicated by his guilt about being trapped by the phone case in the last event, and needing to be rescued, and he'll probably backslide more than a little bit into his stoic workaholic persona to avoid dealing with it. At least his hands have mostly healed? Also, coffee.
→ Sink: Jaeger is a big guy. Getting him out of the sand might be asking a bit much, and I'm giving him a little bit of a break after last month, but I'm happy to have him rescue a partner.

→ Deep: I would like to apologize in advance on Bruno's behalf to the residents of Apartment Block A, where he'll be trapped for the duration. While Bruno is normally reticent to use his powers and a good boy who doesn't feed Entities in general...well, the Eye is hungry, and that means Bruno's going to be a bit of a creeper. He's a sneaky little guy who will absolutely spy on his neighbors under the Eye's influence...and if you'd like your character to get a nasty little prophecy about the immediate future he could make that happen and then feel awful about it. Since I'm not looking to make a player plot out of it (as per his nerf), any visions of the future would be limited to small events that will occur during the time they're all trapped in their homes between February 16-20. Right now I'm solely offering unhappy/scary prophecies since he hasn't fed the Eye prior to this and will only be able to access his powers when using them for evil.
→ Chasm: Cue general anxiety. Did he do this? Is this somehow his fault?
→ Stuck: Bruno not only has problems; he is a problem. Help him find a missing pet rat that he's definitely not supposed to have in the apartments, witness him spilling an entire tray of food, or treat his cooking burns. Sorry, everyone, lunch isn't going to be any less stressful than the rest of the work day.
→ Sink: Field investigations aren't really Bruno's thing, but if anyone wants to rescue or be rescued by him I can make it happen!

→ Deep: So, when it starts becoming obvious that something is Not Quite Right with all the friendly neighbourhood superpowered folks, Yelena is going to break into and commandeer an empty apartment to set up a safe place to hole up for unpowered folks who need to escape a hunger-crazed roommate, or who just don't want to pose a temptation to their superpowered besties. She is entirely willing to inflict violence on threats to her charges. I am entirely willing to have that get spectacularly messy.
Once shit really starts hitting the fan, she'll be putting herself out as bait to lure people prowling for prey away from those who might be less equipped for dealing with horrible shit and then having to look the person who did it to them in the eye across a cafeteria table. This is absolutely a brilliant idea, and will not have horrible consequences at all.
→ Chasm: This is a whole big ball of Do Not Want, and she would like to know what she missed now.
→ Stuck: Yelena is definitely going to be throwing herself into trying to stamp out disasters and track down the root of them - but there are so many, so she's basically just going to be running on the disaster treadmill.
She's sharp enough to realize that all of this fuckery is the perfect way to divide, sow dissent, and keep everyone reacting so they can't stop and think, if anyone wants to have that conversation. Possibly semi-delirious at 3am, because that feels like the right kind of mood here.
→ Sink: Yelena is pretty athletic, but she's not the best equipped to haul people out of a collapsing hole without any equipment unless they're tiny. She is, however, a reasonable size to be hauled, so I'm offering her up to get rescued.
Or to spend a cold day watching for murderhorses at the beach. That's good too.

→ Permissions: HERE
→ Deep: she will be stuck in the apartment block the whole time, at which point she will escape through the window to terrorize whoever she can find outside. She likes her roommates too much to do that directly. However, given the Extinction will be hungry throughout the event, if anyone would like to somehow be terrified with the threat of complete annihilation of your own species or any other species, or reality, or whatever, lmk! Note to her roommates that she has brought nonperishable food into the apartment, and she will share with them both because y'all are under her protection because she's stronger than you two, so she feels responsible.
→ Chasm: won't be the first one out! She will be deeply unsettled by the state of the world outside, though. Immediately she'll be thinking of the massacre of her people several generations back, and she will share it with any characters she comes across.
→ Stuck: the state of ADI HQ will just make her feel more sure someone is hunting them. She will want to hunt for the escaped prisoner, but she'll find herself needed to find new clothes or repair her spear repeatedly or chase shadows during her security shifts. She would be angrier than normal, but the brain fog makes her tired. She'll eventually get some good sleep and feel better, and will take a swim in the ocean for a more full recovery.
→ Sink: THIS IS HER JAM. Or at least, so she thinks! Until she finds out the issue is with the sand. Bummer. I'm happy to have her fall in a hole or try and pull someone out of one. She strong 💪🏼

→ What ADI Department(s) Does the Character Work In?: IT and Research

→ Deep: The strain of the eye hunger on Cortana's systems will make her have difficulty thinking and processing with her full intelligence, something that will make her frustrated and irritable. She'll be worried about the situation and also worried about its affect on her. She'll alternate between being snappish and apologetic, probably do a lot of eavesdropping and getting into things because of data hunger and eye influence, and eventually start trying to dig her way out.
→ Chasm: Once the wall of snow disappears ...well, it makes sense that that wasn't natural, it shouldn't even be possible, why didn't she realize this before now? She'll be angry with herself and want to know what's going on more than ever.
→ Stuck: This, at least, won't hit her quite as hard: though the constant distractions from her mission to find out what happened and whether there's something she can do about it are frustrating, AI need stuff to occupy them basically all the time, so being overworked is better than being stuck with nothing to do. She'll have a lot on her plate, but she'll still do her best to help others who are overwhelmed.
→ Sink: I am 100% down to have Cortana get stuck in a hole and need to be rescued.
